Sizing Chart
Dog Collar Size Chart
Measurements are in centimetres, with inches in brackets. Every Georgie Paws collar is handmade, so please allow up to 1cm (about β ") variation.
| Size | Fits neck (first hole to last hole) | Total leather length |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 23 to 31cm (9" to 12ΒΌ") | 36cm (14ΒΌ") |
| Medium | 31 to 41cm (12ΒΌ" to 16") | 46cm (18") |
| Large | 41 to 51cm (16" to 20") | 56cm (22") |
| X-Large | 51 to 61cm (20" to 24") | 66cm (26") |
Total leather length is the length of the leather, not including the buckle.
Our Small collars are narrower than the other sizes and have smaller hardware, to suit smaller necks.
How to choose the right size
- Measure a collar that already fits. Lay your dog's current collar on a flat surface. Measure from the buckle end to the hole it's worn on, then find that measurement in the chart.
- Or measure your dog. Run a soft tape measure around your dog's neck, where the collar naturally sits. Slip 2 fingers under the tape, then find that measurement in the chart.
- Long-necked dogs (like greyhounds and whippets) need a wide collar to support their vertebrae when on a lead. Many also wear a looser collar every day for their ID tags. For this everyday collar, slip 4 fingers under the tape instead of 2.
Between two sizes? Choose the size where your measurement sits closest to the middle of the range. That leaves holes to spare in both directions.
